At My Vascular Age, we believe that understanding your vascular health is the first step toward a longer, healthier life. Our mission is to make early detection accessible, empowering individuals and clinicians with the knowledge they need to prevent life-changing cardiovascular events.

Our Team

Amer M. Johri, MD MSc FRCPC FASE

Dr. Amer Johri is a Professor at Queen’s University in the Department of Medicine, and a member of the echocardiography group at Queen’s University. He is the Founder and Director of the Cardiovascular Imaging Network at Queen’s (CINQ; cinqlab.com), CINQUILL Medical Publishers Inc., and the @POCUSJournal. He was co-chair of Canada’s first recommendations on the Cardiovascular Screening of Competitive Athletes, a Joint Position Statement by the Canadian Heart Rhythm Society and Canadian Cardiovascular Society, and he currently leads an international writing group for the ASE Guideline for the assessment of carotid arterial plaque by ultrasound.

Dr. Marie-France Hétu is responsible for developing, administering, and managing all research projects at CINQ. She is the Project Leader for the CIRCE, VANGUARD, and Vascular programs. She acts as the point of contact for students, Health Canada, REB, and Industry. She has expertise in commercialization, 3D ultrasound plaque quantification, intraplaque neovascularization, research accounting, protocol development, data management, and statistical analysis. She holds an MSc and a PhD from Queen’s University in Molecular Biology.
